Lip fillers will last a different amount of time depending on the brand of filler used. Some fillers will only last 6-9 months. Premium fillers will last 12+ months.
This will depend on your goals for lip size and your unique anatomy. During your consultation, Dr. Giselle will discuss your wanted lips and advise a best treatment plan.
Anesthetic cream is applied to the lips before any lip filler treatment. This blocks any possible pain from the injections. You can also use anesthetic injected into the mouth to numb the lips similar to the dentist.
Your lips will be swollen from the lip injections. There may also be bruising. This will all resolve within 2 weeks. You can use lipstick the day after your lip filler treatment to cover any bruises.
Lip filler treatment will take about 30 minutes. This includes 15 minutes for numbing the lips.
Apply ice to your lips for 10 minutes at a time to help with swelling. Do not use blood thinners like aspirin or ibuprofen. Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours. Do not use a straw for 24 hours.
Lip filler done with hyaluronic acid fillers can be easily dissolved. If you have lip filler from another provider that you are not happy with, Dr. Giselle can dissolve your old lip filler and start with a new treatment plan.
The amount of lip filler in 1 syringe is only 1 millileter. This will not result in duck-ish looking lips. Dr. Giselle specializes in tasteful, natural lip filler results.
Lip filler is priced by the syringe. Each syringe is $800 for non-members and $700 for members.
